He has served in student ministries for over 25 years and has years of experience in leading missions trips. He also served 10 years with Encuentro Youth Missions and assisted with program development and recruiting.

Before serving with Mission Encounter, Matt worked with troubled youth in the Nashville area as a clinical supervisor of a mental health company. Matt is a graduate of Trevecca Nazarene University with a degree in religion and psychology.
